Safety and security are paramount when it comes to keeping horses. After all they are not just a hobby they are often much loved pets and members of the family. Different horses also have different requirements so whether you keep horses for business or for pleasure it is important to find the right fence for you. All timber supplied is pressure treated with creosote to maximise the life of the fence whilst also being less susceptible to chewing and cribbing. Including "Newmarket standard" 4'6" post and rail and keepsafe wire mesh fencing, our fencing range will meet all of your fencing needs.
Tanalised timber is fine for garden fencing but when it comes to horses it has its limitations. The problem is that it smells like carrots and tastes like salt, which can make it a horse's favorite meal! We would usually recommend timber that has been pressure treated with creosote to deter the chewing. But if for economical or ecological reasons creosote is not for you then we can place a single strand of electrified wire on a tanalised fence to prevent the horses from chewing / cribbing and so prolong the life of the fence.
